Suzanne Cluett with Bishop Desmond Tutu (South Africa) 		A $1,000,000 gift from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation established the Suzanne Cluett Endowment for International Family Planning.

Bill Gates Sr. announced the gift at Planned Parenthood's 70th anniversary celebration.

Planned Parenthood of Western Washington will match new contributions to the fund, up to $1,000,000. When fully matched, the endowment will reach $3,000,000.
