Chomolungma - 2006

In April of 2006 a group of international climbers from Russia, Norway, Denmark, Kirgizia, United Kingdom, United States, Philippines and the Netherlands will go to Tibet to climb the North side of Chomolungma (otherwise known as Mt. Everest). The climb itself takes approximately two months.

Slate Stern, one of the members of the climbing team, has agreed to carry a prayer flag to the summit of the mountain in honor of Suzanne Cluett. The flag will come from the prayer flags signed by friends & family at Suzanne's memorial, and will be specially inscribed in her honor.

For more information about the Kohanim Expedition, please visit their web site at: www.dreambigdaretofail.com

At their web site, you can follow progress reports of the climbing group, from preparation to summit attempts. In addition, you can lend support to the Kohanim Expedition with the purchase of their Official Climb Patch.

Prayer Flags

A prayer flag is a Tibetan Buddhist tradition used to carry thoughts and prayers into the winds and across the countryside.

At Suzanne Cluett's memorial, a prayer flag was signed by friends and family to carry their thoughts and prayers. The prayer flag will be taken to Nepal to be hung in a favorite mountainous location, with a single panel to be carried up Mt. Everest by the Kohanim Expedition.
